Chemical name: Aliphatic ether polysulfide

Properties: It is yellow sticky liquid, with light thioalcohol odor. Specific gravity: 1.42-1.47. Viscosity: about 5-10 pa.s at 26.7 °C.
Functions: VA-7 is vulcanizator for NR, SBR, NBR and other unsaturated rubber. It can easily disperse in rubber. Compared with sulfur, VA-7 has better crosslinking effectiveness, good aging resistance of vulcanized rubber and will not make rubber bloom. It can be used to produce cables and wires, for it has no free sulfur, and is not corrosive to copper. In synthetic rubber, its mechanical properties will still be good even at high temperature. It can also be used to produce the whitewall rubber of tyres.
